I have chosen the genre rock for my music video, this is so I can use various editing conventions including jump cuts. As rock songs can be fast I could use this to my advantage as the beat of the music would work well when the camera cuts if the person is walking/running to show continuity.
The genre rock can also enable me to fall under stereotypes of what the 'rock' audience would wear, such as dark clothing, band shirts etc.

However, I want to create a contrasting music video, with a rock side but in the chorus I want to create a more action type video and contrasting colours as the chorus is more upbeat.
